Man and nature: one in this world

Man and nature: one in this world

Our proximity to the WWF oasis reminds us every day of our commitment to protecting the ecosystem.

We are surrounded by more than 50 different types of plant species: reeds, yellow flags, water plantains, gypsyworts, sedge patches (greater pond sedge and glaucous sedge) and various species of willow and poplar. English oak, field maple, elm and other tree species grow together with dogwood, elderberry, guelder-rose, wild rose, and yellow flagshrubs as well as ferns.

Our neighbours include dragonflies and butterflies, European water voles, tree frogs and Italian agile frogs, Eurasian harvest mice, newts, and dormice.
From our windows we can admire specimens of coot, moorhen, little grebe, mallard, garganey, reed warbler, and penduline as well as the great red woodpecker and green woodpecker. And the grey heron and red heron, the night heron and the little egret, the woodcock, the blackcap, the lesser whitethroat and the song thrush.
We also respect fish species like the water snake, carp, pike, pumpkinseed, trout, and tench.
And roe deer and European pond turtles often come to visit us.
It is our duty to help restore the harmony between man, technology and nature!
